Cross Westchester Toastmasters Club #9976 Area 13; Division A; District 46
 Our sponsor and host location is HDR-Engineering in White Plains, NY. Originally most of our members were HDR employees, but we are becoming a more diverse group.
Our club is basically comprised of professionals. We encourage HDR employees and other potential members to make a commitment to the opportunities Toastmasters provides.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.
Our club is one of more than 9,300 clubs in over 70 countries which includes more than 199,000 men and women.
As Toastmasters, we are gaining proficiency as communicators and leaders so that we can better accomplish the goals we set for ourselves.

With some effort skills can quickly be developed at these meetings and then the awards start coming.

Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Members learn in the club's supportive environment.
Our Toastmasters club has about 20 people who meet during lunchtime on the second and fourth Thursday of the month for an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings through a variety of meeting roles, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
Toastmasters International provides the direction and tools that members guide each other through.

Actual meeting time is from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
But come a bit early
so we can introduce ourselves to you.
We will be there smoozing from about 11:45 a.m.
And stay a bit afterwards with your bag lunch.
Some of us sit together for a bit to have a bite of lunch.
